What type of financing is offered?

Is the financing Shariah-compliant?

Yes, its a Shariah-compliant financing

Who is eligible to apply?

Local companies that meet the SME definition, possess a valid SME Status Certificate and PBT license.

What sectors are excluded?

Open to all sectors EXCEPT primary agriculture, finance, insurance, real estate and securities trading (priority is given to high-growth industries)

Can previous BAP recipients apply again?

Yes, the company is still eligible to apply.

How much can I apply for and what is the profit rate?

The maximum financing amount is RM 400,000. The profit rate is 3.5% per annum.

What can the financing be used for?

The use of funds are eligible for:
• Working capital (e.g. raw materials, salaries, rent, utilities)
• Equipment and machinery purchase
• Product certification
• Advertising & promotion
• ICT adoption
• ESG Initiatives

How do I apply and what documents are required?

You can apply for the financing at www.smecorp.microleapasia.com
• NRIC of applicant & guarantor
• 6 Months latest bank statement
• At least 2 years of signed management accounts
• Copy of an active PBT License
• Business owner profile photo
• Proof of business premises (photo/video)

How does the 40% rebate work?

Awarded if:
• 60% of financing is repaid on time
• No defaults, restructuring, or early settlement before 60% repayment
• Minimum financing tenor for grant conversion is 24 Months

Do I need to apply for the rebate?

No need to apply separately but the grant will take into effect subject to SME Corp approval.

What are the conditions to qualify?

• Malaysian-registered SME with valid SSM registration
• Holds a valid Sijil Akuan Status PKS
• Minimum 60% local equity
• Valid business license (PBT)
• Minimum 12 months in operation
• Priority given to SMEs with good financial track records

Are there any platform fees?

Platform fee: 4%–5%, depending on approved amount

Do I need to submit invoices?

No invoices required for utilisation

Application and Disbursement timeline

• Approval: Within 14 working days after full document submission
• Disbursement: Within 1–3 working days post-approval
